MA XIUXIAN - 102 YEAR OLD STUDENT

The 102-year old Chinese woman, from Jinan, Shandong province, began working at a cotton mill, at the age of 13, and married when she was only 18. She gave birth to nine children, seven of which attended universities. Her children remember Ma Xiuxian and her husband made great sacrifices, in order to support their studies, but never got the chance to fulfill her own dream, of going to school, for the first time.

On March 31, Ma Xiuxian was invited to the Weishan Road Elementary School, to attend her first class. Equipped with a schoolbag and a large magnifying glass (for reading), Ma entered the class in the applause of her primary school classmates. The 102-year-old student commented she was very proud to be able to go to school, and that she will study hard to bring her contribution to the motherland.

AN INCREDIBLE CHURCH THAT'S BEEN BEING BUILT FOR 118 YEARS

The beautiful church is known as Church of the Holy Family and is a massive, privately funded Roman Catholic Church that has been under construction in Barcelona, Spain since 1892 and is not expected to be complete until at least 2026. It was designed by renowned Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. It is absolutely huge and is one of Spain’s most visited tourist attraction.

OBAMA FAMILY ENJOYING WITH PET DOG "BO OBAMA"

U.S. Presidents and their families have typically liked animals. Creatures from mice to bears have made a home at the White House and its grounds.



The First family and Bo, their new Portuguese water dog, walk on the South Lawn of the White House.


Bo Obama heads into the Oval Office on April 15 for a strategic meeting with the president and his top advisers about treats.

DERAWAR FORT,PAKISTAN-PROPERTY OF ROYAL FAMILY

Derawar Fort an historic place of Pakistan is located about 80 km from the city of Bahawalpur in Punjab province in Pakistan. Derawar Fort is a large square fortress.The forty bastions of Delawar are visible for many miles in Cholistan Desert. The walls have a circumference of 1500 meters and stand up to thirty meters high.

Derawar Fort the Jaisalmir property of the royal family until 1733, when Pakistan became the property of princely state Bahavalpur. In the same year it was reconstructed. Derawar Fort is part Ganweriwala, the archaeological area of ancient Indus Valley culture, the so-called Indus culture.

THE GIANT OIL RIG EXPLOSION OF THE GULF OF MEXICO

An oil drilling platform has just recently exploded 50 miles off the Louisiana coasts. 126 workers were aboard the Deepwater Horizon rig when it blew up. 100 workers made it to the supply boats but 11 are still missing, seventeen were injured, four of them critically. A lot of work for the fireboats and coast guards and a lot of pain and sadness for the families directly concerned by the accident.
