I was stunned, literally, to see the big tanker floating partially submerged. Out in the open sea, we might not be able to appreciate their true proportions. But its when these marvellous machines enter our ports that we see them for what they are. Then I remember what I read in a novel once, about there being waves so large in the open oceans, that would with disdain throw to the air or take to the bottom even the biggest of our ships, like they were paper-boats made by children playing in the rain. Amazing!
